The space

A newly finished 1-bedroom apartment for two, with a partial Red Sea view visible over the Dahar rooftops from the balcony — the kind of glimpse that earns its place at sunrise. The living room has a wood-framed sofa set with amber upholstery, a coffee table, and a wall-mounted TV, with warm cove lighting that makes the room feel restful in the evenings. A dining table with bench seating sits just off the living area, close enough to the kitchen to work as a proper eating space. The kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering — a full-size fridge, hob, and ample upper and lower cabinet storage with granite countertops throughout. A washing machine is included in-unit. The bedroom has a double bed with fresh linens and curtains that block the morning light well enough to sleep in. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, a vessel sink on a granite vanity, and a backlit mirror — well finished for the price point. Air conditioning runs in the main living spaces. An excellent host. The team here are friendly, welcoming and efficient; Khaled especially. The apartment is clean, functional and everything works perfectly. The location is quiet, local and accessible for whatever your needs. Ahmed (the host) is reasonable, flexible and (from my 3 years in Northern Africa) certainly one of the better hosts I’ve had a privilege to stay with across the region. I’ll certainly stay again if/when I return to Hurghada.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war super. Für 8 Tage haben wir für eine zentrale Lage und eine große Wohnung einen guten Preis bezahlt. Ahmed war sehr gut gut zu erreichen und hat auch noch eine sehr späten Check in aufgrund unseres Fluges nachts ermöglicht. Er war trotzdem sofort erreichbar, obwohl wir am selben Tag erst gebucht haben. Wir hatten eine Küche und ein Wohnzimmer und auch das Bad hat gut gepasst. Insgesamt sah die Wohnung aus wie auf den Bildern. Es gibt auch einen schönen Balkon. Unsere Erfahrungen mit dem Hauptgastgeber waren sehr gut. Allerdings habe ich eine komische Situation mit dem Co-Gastgeber erlebt. Das Internet hatte in der letzten Nacht nicht funktioniert und er kam, um es zu reparieren. Es hatte dann auch wieder funktioniert, wir hatten kurz small talk. Er hat dann auf einmal gefragt ob er mich umarmen kann, ich meinte nein. Ich habe meinen Freund angerufen weil er Arabisch spricht und ich nicht wusste was passiert und Angst hatte. Er ist dann gegangen.
